Milwaukee woman Police let 'high' man go after accident

A Milwaukee woman, Cristal Todd, is speaking out after an alleged impaired driver hit her parked truck over the weekend, expressing frustration that justice hasn’t been served. Todd recounted the incident, stating that she and her husband were at home when they heard a loud noise outside, discovering that a car had hit the back of her truck. Despite the driver’s wishes, Todd immediately called the police.

The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed their presence at the scene but did not cite the driver, who admitted to being “high” and recently released from prison. Todd expressed disappointment that the driver was not held accountable and was allowed to drive away, describing it as a “slap on the wrist.”

The damage to Todd’s truck is estimated at $7,000, with sentimental value attached as it belonged to her late father-in-law. She has filed a complaint against the officer who took the report and intends to seek legal action against the driver and her insurance company for coverage discrepancies. Todd has set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the repairs and future legal expenses.
