Police chase of Chicago homicide suspect ends in Milwaukee school bus crash

A collision involving several vehicles, including a school bus, unfolded in Wisconsin on Wednesday afternoon, resulting from a police pursuit initiated in connection with a homicide case in Chicago. The Milwaukee police were engaged in chasing a car linked to the Chicago homicide investigation near North 76th Street and West Capitol Drive around noon. The pursuit ultimately culminated in a multi-vehicle crash.

The crash took place when the suspect’s vehicle collided with a school bus, causing the bus to flip onto its side and subsequently collide with another car. Fortunately, there were no children aboard the school bus at the time of the incident. However, two individuals in the suspect’s vehicle, including a 3-year-old and another adult, sustained injuries.

Although the initial crash led to significant damage, both the bus driver and the driver of the other car are expected to recover from their injuries. Despite the unfolding chaos, the absence of children on the bus contributed to averting potential severe consequences.

The Milwaukee police have not disclosed specific details regarding the Chicago homicide case to which the pursued suspect is linked. The circumstances surrounding the pursuit and the subsequent crash remain under investigation as law enforcement works to determine the events leading up to the incident and gather information about the suspect’s alleged involvement in the Chicago homicide.
